About
Creating a Type Specimen for the typeface, Didot involved showing off its special features through unique designs. I aimed to highlight Didot's elegance and fine details, using its style to inspire creative layouts and compositions. Each design element was chosen to match the classy look of Didot, making sure that the typeface's features were both celebrated and clearly shown. This project let me explore and present Didot in a visually interesting way.
Design Process
Once I decided on a typeface to focus on (Didot) I researched the history and specific characteristics of the Didot typeface and jotted it down. I learned about how it was made and what makes it unique. This background helped guide the rest of my design process.
Next, I made several sketches that brought Didot to life. These sketches focused on highlighting the special features of Didot that I discovered during my research. This step was crucial for visualizing the final product.
Finally, I used Adobe InDesign to create my final design. In this step, I took all my sketches and research and put them together into a polished and professional layout that showcased Didot beautifully.
